Could u brake down each section for me? Also the lines, But when the taxman comes to the door,
Lord, the house looks like a rummage sale, yes....i know it talks about tax evasion, but i dont get why they said the house looks like a rummage sale. So id appreciate it if u could give me ur point of view in each section and answer my question of those 2 lines, thanx.

1) Some folks are born made to wave the flag,
Ooh, theyre red, white and blue.
And when the band plays hail to the chief,
Ooh, they point the cannon at you, lord,

2)Yeah!
Some folks are born silver spoon in hand,
Lord, dont they help themselves, oh.
But when the taxman comes to the door,
Lord, the house looks like a rummage sale, yes,

3)Some folks inherit star spangled eyes,
Ooh, they send you down to war, lord,
And when you ask them, how much should we give?
Ooh, they only answer more! more! more! yoh

I basically get the drift, but id like to know what it means in more detail. Thanx

1) People are born in to politcal families. These people wave the flag, but they don't fight due to their political connections.

2) People are born into priviledge and monetary wealth. They get what they want, but when it comes to paying taxes the dodge taxes with tricks or evasion that makes their house look like they have no money to tax. (a house full of rummage sale goods depicts a house with little monetary wealth)

3) Some folks are drafted and made to fight in war. They are sent to war and asked to make fight and give their life.

Generally the song is about the Fogerty's disconent with the Vietnam War and how the bulk of the draftees were coming from middle and lower class. The "fortunate son" was not drafted

It's about how the privledged( polititians) son's or other reletives were not subject to the draft during the Viet Nam war. It was common knowledge then that only the lower income men were sent over there.

"When the taxman comes to the door, house looks like a rummage sale?"

Companies showing empty pockets and a yard sale because they are so poor. Then act like giant maker of generic drugs Mylan’s chief #USACorpOut Heather Bresch daughter of Sen Manchin D-WVa. Mylan is following the lead of other large United States companies in doing the increasingly popular tax-skirting tactic known as an inversion. Under the strategy, companies merge with foreign rivals in countries with lower tax rates and then reincorporate there while still enjoying the benefits of doing a large part of their business in the United States.
