Perhaps you meant the beatnicks of the 50's..
They were leaders in the free thought process that lead to the "me" generation of the late 60's and early 70's.

Their challenge of society at all levels made my life a better one. I grew up in the 50's and saw the change. Not every one was Dobie Gillis, Ozzie and Harriet or Father Knows Best.

It allowed me to fit in the world on terms that I could accept. Non Judgemental and life in all its challenges.

If you did mean the beatles.. Ill leave that for the music industry to decide. Im not sure they had much political or social impact, but they sure made an economic influence on the music scene, much like Elvis did to another segment of the population.

~They didn't change anything one iota in the '50's. However, the folks from whom they created themselves were doin' their things in the 50's which led to the revolution of the 60's and 70's. The Beatles went from leaders to followers in a few short years, but they followed people through the doors that they themselves opened. There isn't enough space here to list all the things that can be trace back to the Beatles. There are too many sources out there for you a few keystrokes away for me to want to waste my time on such an easy one. The biggest impact was on music, of course, but that just scratches the surface. And not all of it was for the good by any means.

Uh, the Beatles were not recording during the 1950s. You mean the 1960s, ask you parents. They were probably Beatlemaniacs

Well, they were recording in the 1960s. They were just getting together in the late 1950s.

Whatever you write it had better be a love fest for the Beatles or your teacher is going to flunk you.

An obvious Beatle loving social studies teacher trying to influence his students.

They had a large impact on people, but don't let the hippy teaching you go overboard.

"Common" people are what makes the world go around.

Is this a trick question? They didn't have any world impact until the 1960s.
