questions like why i dont do so & so outing with that guy and what does he say about so & so..

He's neither jealous nor is he sneaky, he just wants to know if your interested in your guy friend more then just friends. He obviously likes you. Ask him out!

He may have been trying to get a feel for what the relationship is like with your guy friend. Take it as, he likes you and wants to know the risk factor. He may have been hurt in the past under similar circumstances. Be observant, maybe take it slow. Give him the benefit of the doubt.

Jealousy. Ditch him.
Jealousy is not easily dealt with. You are in for a very long and painful road with someone who is jealous and is not willing to deal with. Their jealousy has nothing to do with you.
The jealous are often possessive and even resort to aggression and violence when they feel threatened.
Find someone who trusts you and has a reasonable measure of self-esteem.

Tell him you're available. That's probably what he wants to hear. Unless he's gay he's probably wanting your guy friend.
