Why do people cry at night?

Its been a long day. You've recieved some sort of bad news [death in the family, not gonna graduate, etc]. You get in the bed and...cry. WHY???

"Night Cries" are most popular because you are finally alone to deal with the pressures of life by yourself. The night is usually a quiet time when your most repressed thoughts are able find their way to the surface and "take over" your heart and mind.

hmm...i can honestly say i've only cried "in bed" once. that was when i found out a really good friend that i liked alot was leaving the office. i was heartbroken when she said she was leaving. other than that, i can't ever remember crying at night.
it's probably because the bed comforts you better than some people do...lol. and, unless you're married, you can cry in bed alone - without anyone seeing.

that's a good question to ask that cronie tweenie that cried during one of Sanjaya's awful performances. oh my god, i'll bet she cried buckets at night when people finally voted him off.
