Is the Holocaust Real?

Question

For a chool assignment our teacher has as reading essays that are trying to prove that the Holocaust did not exist. If you could read the essays at the following source:

And tell me what you think of them and whether or not you think that the Holocaust is real or not. And also tell me what you think of the essays. The one who is able to come up with a good answer and with some facts to go along with it will have the Best Answer awarded to them.

One of the things a lot of people have been saying lately is that I need to spend some time studying this ysel. Well I had studied it before I even posted this question, and I had turned in the assignment. All I wanted to know was what the community thought of it.

I don't need to read the essays. The record is clear. The Institute for Historical Review has no credibility with real historians.

I don't know what class you are reading this for but I think you should report this teacher to the principal. Only a neo-Nazi would give any crediblity to IHR.

I have traveled extensively. And since I studied history in college, I have always tried to vist "important" places when I could. I have visited several of the "death camps" and I have met survivors in a number of countries (including some living in the US).

It is real. No serious person really has any doubts. It is ever so tantalizing to publish or push the concept that it didn't happen, but that is more to keep a bored public entertained than anything or real merit.

Don't forget, there are still a few people that honestly believe the earth is flat and others who are certain that men never walked on the moon. Up until a week ago there were a lot who said of (9/11) the twin towers could not have been brought down by a fire because steel won't melt from a fire....then we had a tanker truck flip over on a major freeway interchange near us and the fire melted the steel and part of the interchange collapsed. People will believe anything if it is "fun" to do so....not because it is or isn't true. The holocaust did happen and the people who say it didn't are just making it easier for (all of) us to do something as bad again somewhere in the future. (something about "...those who do not know history are destined to repeat it...")

I have been to some of the remains of the death camps while growing up in Germany. They are very real and the Holocaust was very real and very sad.

I am honestly stunned your teacher would even ask this of you. Instead of teach you the truth. The majority of people being Gassed by the Nazi's were done in the last few years of the war. Over 7 million people, non combatants at that.

Actually the UN was created to prevent these kind of acts of Genocide and it has failed miserably at it. Trying to make up excuses or ways to deny things like the Holocaust is exactly how and why there have been Genocides in Eastern Europe and some nations in Africa.

Your teacher should be asking for essays on how to prevent Genocides and events like the Holocaust instead of helping you find ways to pretend that they never happen, there is one happening in Africa right now.

This is a very important subject you should be spending some time studying yourself. I am quite sure it was purely accidental that 6 million Jews, almost all Gypsies, Eastern Europeans, Homosexuals, retarded and mentally ill people were tortured starved and killed in concentration camps. The mountains of paperwork the natzis kept (they were type a personalities) and piles of bodies, clothing and shoes would be rather difficult to explain. Why don't you visit a local Jewish museum or the Holocaust Museum and see how all this could have been faked.

it was absolutely, in no way not even close, to being not real. of COURSE it happened!! there is evidence EVERYWHERE!!!! look at the last site I put up there. those are the actual remain of Auschwitz dea th camp as they look today. how could it possible be fake? there are written documents, scene-of-the-crimes, pictures, videos....the shoes, glasses, suitcases, clothes they took from the Jews are STILL THERE!! go to a Holocaust museum? wth?? how could someone ever CONSIDER it not being real????? Those essays are BS, and there are pictures that prove the holocaust did happen, I am reading Anne Frank right now! This did happen, and there are still peope alive whom were in that! They even have the numbers on their arms.......

The Jews did not suffer in Germany because there was no Holocaust. Actually it was the Jews that was torturing the poor blond haired deprived Germans. Those tattoos on the Jews arms and hands that are still alive today (by the grace of God) are really there because they want to be hip.

5. The Moon we see every night is really not there along with the planets, stars as well as the Planet Killing Asteroids. Those were put there by the evil United States to toy with our minds.

6. The fossils of homo eructus, neandertals and 15 other hominids that are extinct were put there by paleotologists, archeologists, and assorted rock hounds to enhance their careers. Creationism is the only reality.

7. America is a conspiracy and is a fake country and none of us Americans really live here.
