I have never heard of that and I think it is odd. I mean, that would be like the mother of the baby throwing her own baby shower. Why doesn't he save money for a "push" gift, and leave the shower planning to the women?
I don't know, I just don't get some of these newer trends.

No. But we girls are always carping about how the fathers never get involved enough where babies are concerned.
Showers are commonly hosted by the future mother's mom, relatives or friends. Guys don't get into the spirit because they think the event is too mushy for their taste. Maybe a shower with couples that are friends of both would be a good idea, than having her friends feel unconfortable with the husband being there. I have always had more than one shower, if this is such a big thing him, let him do a shower with couples, and then do your own the traditional way. I just hope he understands the concept of a shower does not mean a typical male cookout, beer, sports and lots of ape man behavior.
If he does, I would just loooove to know how it went, he could be starting a new fad, you know.

O.ok. the single toddler bathe rule relies on the thought women human beings would be married and characteristic all toddlers with the comparable father and ideally 2 years aside, lol. In twenty first century genuine existence, that may not the case. Exceptions at the instant are made for couples that have a brilliant age hollow between toddlers, incredibly who holds directly to toddler kit for 7-8 years? Couples that are having their first baby at the same time frequently have toddler showers. or whether you have had 3 sons inclusive of your husband and toddler #4 is a woman, its no longer uncommon so you might get a toddler bathe with that being pregnant. The bathe is to have fun the beginning of a clean toddler. in the adventure that your mom is punctiliously against throwing the bathe, ask an in depth pal or perhaps your husbands sister (if he has one) to be the host. If all else fails, host a "meet toddler" sort adventure some weeks after the beginning. you are able to sign in for presents yet you basically won't get the products till after beginning.

My Sister and Brother-in-Law have had 2 baby showers that were "co-ed". They have a BBQ and invite everyone over. It's not a formal baby shower, because it is for the second and third children, so they kind of already had alot of the stuff, like cribs, strollers & changing tables. It gives everyone a chance to celebrate.

Now, let's give this guy some credit and applause. He's considerate to say the very least. Granted, he's a little confused and typically the women in the family give the shower. Maybe he wants a combined dad/mom shower. If I were you, I'd talk with the daddy to be and see what's up. Say you'd like to help out.

normally the mother or a friend gives the shower, not the father. I would talk to your brother in law, and tell him that you want to give her a shower and see what he says.

I have never heard of the father throwing a baby shower...I have heard of them attending them. If you want to throw a shower and still have him involved, have him help you plan it. That way he feels like he's done his part and them let him come and be a part of the shower...to share in the joy that he obviously feels.
