Does an ATI video card work well on a SLI or Invidea Motherboard?

reason i,m asking is because iv,e had my eye on this ASus Motherboard that i think will be great, and it is Nvidea Sli But at the moment i have an ATI x1950xtx card, which is a nice card, and i would like to use it for a while at least. until the cards all settle a while.

It should work as a single card.
But better consider the other Asus motherboards that are Crossfire capable since you already have one very good ATI video card.

It will work, you just won't be able to install a second one for Crossfire (ATI's version of SLI).
