My 13yr old cat was just diagnosed with diabetes. She is now in the hospital. She will need insulin shots 2X a day and a special diet. Is it too late to get insurance for her? I just thought of it now, and have no idea about what is covered, cost, will it be worth it, etc. I just wanted her better ! I didn't even think to ask the Dr. about the cost of insulin or anything else. ANY suggestions about what I can do will be helpful.

Awwww, i'm sorry...probably. It costs A LOT to get a pump(I just got diagnosed with Type 1 in Sept.) but obviously your cat does'nt need it, so, it should'nt be too bad.

Here's the deal: Insulin costs $200-300 a month.

Needles don't cost much, but it'll certainly feel like they pile up with the amount you'll use. Depending on your financial status and your job, chances are you'll be fine. I'll pray for you♥
