I am trying to get a wireless connection for my Nintendo Wii, and I did but the connection is locked and I need to put in a WEP password. I looked up the router and there was a user guide on Adobe Reader, and it says you should always change your WEP password, but it doesn't tell you how to change it. I looked everywhere in the settings and all of that crap, and I can't seem to find anything.

First you will have to log into the routers settings. Do this by opening your web browser and type in the routers IP address, this is usually 192.168.0.1

Then find the wireless security section and you will see a block to input a WEP or WAP Key.

Either keep the one that is already there and write it down or change it and input that into your Wii.

The only way to change the WEP key on your router is to use a wired computer to access the it (usually with the router's ip 192.XXX.XX.XX) The model number u gave is for the wireless adapter. The model u need to specify is of the router.

Ask the person that set up your router what the WEP key is.

If you're trying to use a neighbor's network without their permission, you're pretty much out of luck.

If the network is secured then whoever set it up should have the key
