This really depends entirely on how honest both of you have been with each other over the last several months. If you've both been up front with each other and haven't been keeping any big secrets, then I imagine you will get on well in person also.

Be smart. Go with a friend to meet him and meet in a public place. The friend can always leave after you know for sure it is safe. Assuming everything is real that he has told you so far, there is more to a relationship than some internet chatting and phone talk. The real part of the relationship will start the moment you meet him. You will start to learn his habits, especially the bad ones. Take things slow and remember even though you have talked for five months it is really your first date.

Truthfullyt, wait until either he moves to your town or you move to his, but don't shack up. Date for a year or so before deciding on whether or not to marry this person. As of right now, you really don't know each other enough to be in love. Right now you two are in love with perfect imaginations of each other. You don't see each other's faults, and neither of you really knows if the other is telling the honest truth. I met my husband online, but it was thru a church website. I moved to his town, we dated for a year and a half AFTER I moved there, and then got married. We never shacked up. We'll be married 5 years this summer. As an added, but very important thought, most internet relationships never evolve into something serious. My husband and I decided not to get serious until after I moved to his town, when we could REALLY get to know each other. We both prayed as well for a long time, and God ordained us being together.

Not really people some times are more comfortable saying things to a person that they have not met yet. The only thing I can tell you is try it and find out if it is as serious as you think it is.

distance is a killer. and I hope your old enough to know that 99% of net people aren't the same in real life. DON'T GO ALONE take a friend or 2 with you for the first 5 times you meet with him. don't be gullible and get hurt.

if youve never met him before, it might be hard when youre seeing him for the first time...because yes you may love him, but you havent experienced him in person and his habits and what not...you have to be compatible emotionally and personally for it to work, you just have to wait and see how you really feel about him when you are with him..

I really wish you the best of luck when you meet him and hope that you are not disappointed. They say looks don't matter but I seriously think that this saying is overrated.
