I had the battery changed on my '96 Explorer last week, from an Interstate to a Motorcraft. Maybe it's my imagination or some other problem but I've noticed a tremendous increase in static while listening to may favorite local AM talk-radio station.
Any possibility that the change of brand could be the cause? Thanks!

Sometimes a mechanic will forget to re-attach the 'static suppressors' that are tied into the hot (+) circuit or remove them. This causes the spark sound on an AM radio.

Chances are they were part of the old battery's wires, and got tossed. If they are gone, you can pick these up at any auto parts place.

In some vehicles it is simply a capacitor tied between the body of the car and the 'hot side' of the battery

you are able to no longer create ability nor wreck it (Physics a hundred and one). a extra robust battery won't create ability, era! is basically which will final longer once you run the stereo. in case you utilize extra ability than the Alternator factors, you will kill the battery too. besides, like the persons mentioned, a extra robust Amps output alternator will do extra advantageous than a extra robust battery.

It is far more likely that the installation is the problem. Check to see that everything is tight you may need new leads to the battery terminals. Doubtful that it is the brand.

no it shouldn't matter on the type of battery. check your antenna connection or the back of your deck
but the changeover of the battery won't affect the radio
