He's actually The Rock's father's nephew, when his brother married into the Anoa'i family, making him The Rock's first cousin, as a part of the Anoa'i family, most of them from Samoa and surrounding areas in the South Pacific. Other relatives include Rosey (Matt Anoa'i) and Rikishi (Solofa Fatu).

If you remember 3 minute warning, he was one of the guys in it. Rosey and Jamal, the writers got tired of the gimmick (like so many others e.i. Cryme Time Duece and Domino {before they brought them back to take the belts off} Cade and Murdoch {once again before they brought them back to work an angle with Hardy's})
