Sorry, it's a myth.
The #1 most accurate way to tell is birth.
The #2 is ultrasound.
The rest fall way behind and are a 50/50 chance.

I'm pretty sure it's a myth. My mom had one girl and three boys and my paternal grandmother had two boys and seven girls and with either of them you couldn't tell they were pregnant by looking at them.
I think it varies from person to person and the reason that those boy or girl myths became so popularized is because you always have a 50% chance of being right.

its a myth i carried low and it was a girl everything is a myth when trying to find out if its a girl or boy i tried everything and most of them where wrong, the only one io found that was not a myth that has worked only for a few people is the one:
where you (the pregnant persone) put a ring on a neckleace and open your hand and if the necklace swings up and down its a boy if it goes in circles its a girl
also what ever attracts you more in baby clothes
i found that i wasnt interested in boy clothes only in girls and i had a girl its an instinct

I think it is a myth, and I also think that most of the predictions about the sex of the baby are also not true. I know it is hard to wait to find out, but I wouldn't go off of some of the crazy ideas people have about gender.

I think it's a myth. One of my friends is pregnant now with a girl and she's carrying low, so I don't think it really matters. They're gonna get comfortable wherever they feel like it.

My daughter was low. My mother was convinced it was a boy, even after the ultrasound. It means nothing. My girlfriend's pregnant with a girl, and she's low. she was also low with her son. Means nothing. As my dad says, "Look she's carrying high/low - that means she's having a BABY!"

This is an old wives tale! There is absolutely NO TRUTH to this. Coincidence in some cases but truth, no. Like you mom said, she carried you and your brother the same. There is only one way to tell . . . ultrasound!!

Myth. There are a bunch of so called predictors for gender, the Chinese gender predictor, the wedding ring over the tummy thing, they are all fun - but that's about it.
Edited to say ... But fun is good!
