As a long time gamer and video game producer, I’ve played and worked with hundreds of different characters. Spider-Man 3 is my 4th Spider-Man project here at Activision and I can honestly say he’s definitely the best character out there. Who else can swing across Manhattan in a matter if minutes during rush hour, crawl on just about any surface imaginable, build a giant web across huge skyscrapers to catch a falling helicopter, and take out any of the worlds most diabolical, genetically enhanced baddies? No one. I vote for Spider-Man. Who would you want to be?

Without a doubt master chief.

Alien invasion getting you down? No problem just whip out your plasma sword (name a cooler thing this side of a lightsaber?) and slice em up?

Hit by a few bullets, A rocket? A bus? No problem just find some cover and your handy dandy armor will recover your life and your energy in a flash.

Your ride to work ho hum? No problem, hope in a warthog with a friend mounted on the back and give new meaning to the term "commute"

plus on top of all that, you get an amazing theme song with monks chanting to chronicle your every awesome move.

who wouldn't want to be master chief?

What a wonderful question! When I was younger, I think I would've said some character from the G.I. Joe comic book series (Snake Eyes comes to mind immediately), however that mindset has changed.

I've been a NYC Police Officer for 12 years, and truly enjoy the work that I do. Every day I have the opportunity to be involved in something new and occassionally dangerous. I can truly say that I welcome the chance I have to protect the people of NYC and that makes my decision easier.

I would choose The Green Lantern. The Green Lantern Corps is an intergalactic police force and the parallels with the NYPD are very noticeable. The fictional character Hal Jordan, was probably the best Green Lantern that ever lived and in a way I admire his character.

His character, by benefit of the ring, had great power & he didn't abuse it (until the end - which I personally thought was a waste). He was also a very dependable & taciturn "person" and that reminds me of me (the strong silent type).

Either an agent in Crackdown or Master Chief from the Halo series.

Both have awesome suits, energy shields, a substantial arsenal of vehicles, ability to respawn. I would choose chief first cause the suit is intimidating and he can function in space...

The Agent would be cool though cause of the super agility and strength though but the practicality would be undermined by collateral damage as seen in game by all the civilian casualties.

I think the Agent could take Spider Man out he has heat seeking missles to knock him down and then he can snipe him in the face. Chief probably could to if he had a battle rifle and a sniper but it would take some strategy...

Too bad activision doesn't have it's own original characters. What other games did they do with heros? TMNT? Other marvel stuff? Heck I don't even know cause I don't see their brand on any of the good games that have been released lately... Good luck with SpiderMan 3 I'm not gonna buy it though cause it looks lamer than Super Man and all the other Spider Man games were novelties at best with gameplay lacking substance to keep my personal interest.

I didn't read all of the other posts because there were almost 600 by the time I saw this question.

If I could be any video game character ever created in real life, I would be the dancing red virus from Dr. Mario. I think the red virus had more fun than the yellow virus, since the yellow one had retro hair. The blue one, I'm not so sure about. It's a close call, but I get more of a rock star vibe from the red virus. Almost like a viral version of Axl Rose.

I almost picked Alex from River City Ransom (NES), but that wouldn't be much of a change from regular life. I mean except for the whole walking around and beating up gang members and taking 150 saunas in a row.

Yep. The red virus from Dr. Mario.

Granted, I've never played with this character. I don't think anybody has ever played with this character. I don't even think I know if this character is a male or female. But in all honesty, who here, or anywhere for that matter, does not remember, cherish, and miss THAT DOG FROM DUCK HUNT?? Let's think about this. It didn't matter what happened in the game, you had a relationship with that dog. It was like a real pet. When the dog did something that was "against the rules" such as laughing at you because you missed the ducks, you probably wanted to tell the dog to shut up. Guess what though, the dog didn't shut up!!! You just kept shooting and when you missed, the dog would laugh again. That dog owned everybody. When you did kill off those ducks, that dog wasted no time in running across that field and picking up those dead ducks. But what did the dog do with those ducks??? I'll tell you. Those ducks were kept by the dog. We all remember and let's face it, live or dead ducks, it was the dog that won. Either we'd get made fun of and there was no way of stopping it or we'd do the work and the dog would win by having all of our ducks. That dog wins either way. So I now ask you........who would NOT want to be that dog????

This is a tough choice...I would have to be the Prince of Persia, from the Warrior Within( #2 of 3 games) though Dante from Devil May Cry comes in close second.
The prince has many weapons and can use weapons he takes from his enemies. He can climb vines, swing from ropes, hang off ledges and jump to walls behind him. He can run up walls and do flips, he can grab a column and spin around and climb up. The best thing the Prince can do is run along walls, so in a way he is like Spider man without the webs and a lot of cool weapons. The thing I admire most about the Prince of Persia in this game is his heart and his drive and determination to right the wrongs he has done in the past. He chooses to do the right thing, when doing the wrong would have been easier. He finishes the game aged and ragged but wiser. I loved that.
Take care
and good luck choosing a best answer from all these great ones

I'm a huge gamer myself, I play games a little too much really. Anyway, if I had to choose, I would say Sam Fisher from the Splinter Cell series. The Splinter Cell games are my favorite video games of all time. So much fun, and so creative. Not to mention the graphics always look outstanding. Spider-Man is also a good character to choose because I do agree, it is fun controlling Spider-Man in the previous installments of the Spider-Man series, and I'm sure this next game will be just as great although when it comes to comic book heroes, for some reason I always prefer the movie over the game. Anyway, I'm still looking forward to Spider-Man 3 and best of luck to you and your future.

Cloud Strife, hands down. He's the gayest male character ever (though just about any pairing with him is canon). Gorgeous women swarming him all over and all he can think about is the guy with long silver hair. Despite being absolutely nuts for the first half of the game, then sarcastic the second and then completely and totally emo, I can understand the character. I can relate to him in certain ways.

But probably not. I think Colonel Jade Curtiss fromt Tales of the Abyss would have to be it. Genius, gorgeous, extremely strong and he has the best lines of the game (unless you want to count Dist). His fonic artes are awesome, he has a fantastic uniform, and is voiced by THE Takehito Koyasu. You can't get more awesome than him.

Female characters? I would probably say Kanon from Wild Arms: 2nd Ignition. She's extremely dedicated, enough that she'd sacrifice her eye and arm just to win. While I also love Altaecia, I'd rather not be incestuous, even if my twin brother is gorgeous.
