I am Iranian girl.
Lately there was a great deal of propaganda against Iran
I like Americans , at least those ones who are not hateful toward Iranians .
Iranians like Americans despite of American government shooting down an Iranian airliner , their support of unpopular shah and Saddam . But there is a danger that the popularity of Americans decreases in favor of Iranian Mullahs if America does not stop supporting the current Islamic regime of Iran . Yes you read correctly , your government is supporting the dictatorship and oligarchy of Mullahs against people of Iran.
Any attack of Iran and the current hostility of Americans towards Iranians would strengthen the Iranian Mullahs even more than the 8 years of Iran_ Iraq war did . People live in fear of an American attack and this fear is exactly what mullahs needs to prove their previous points about America , about how Satanic America is and how they were right and people were not . Though I think my people are clever enough not to be tricked by them but at least what an American attack will do for mullahs is that it for sure weaken the domestic resistance against Mullahs by distracting people ‘s mind toward an external invasion since Iranians are as patriotic as you American are . My people are going to jail for standing up against a government that they think it is corrupt .
My question is if you are a supporter of war against Iran and If you are please support your opinion .

Nice threat. You're blaming the US for the mess Ahmadinejad has made since he took office in 2005. But then it's ALWAYS someone else's fault, isnt' it?

And I don't hate the Iranian people despite them holding and torturing Americans for 444 days.

Save it for the Brits, sweetie. They can be had for a bag of pistachios.

I am not for a war with Iran. I would like to see both countries get together and iron out their differences without bloodshed. Is this possible as things now stand? Yes, but VERY difficult. The president of Iran is an idiot (even more so than Bush) because he has big mouth and always seems to say things that provoke Americans. When he threatens another nation that he will drive them into the sea he is telling the world that he is for war and that he is developing nuclear bombs for this end. Do you think that the USA will allow him to do this and perhaps aim his rockets at us as well as Israel?
No way! We have learned a great deal about war with people who willingly give their lives for their political views and religion. We will not make the same mistake twice. Most Americans do not want war with Iran; however, if the president of Iran doesn't keep his stupid mouth closed, there will surely be a conflict. Perhaps the Mullahs are telling this idiot what to say and he does exactly what they him to do. I hope and pray for peace but man has to learn how to get along with one another inspite of his religious and political beliefs.

Great question. I do not support the war. Actually I'm not sure if anyone I know of supports the war. We think our government is sticking their nose where it doesn't belong. I think the fight is to control oil more than anything. I am driving my car less and riding my bicycle more because innocent people are dying over a stupid commodity.

I find your analogy of the war very interesting. I'd never even heard of Mullahs. Seems our government might be controlling our media to mask the real issues in Iran!

On another note, prejudiced Americans that can't see that people are all the same, no matter what their skin color or place of origin are just plain ignorant. I have more foreign friends than American because I find that our diversity actually brings us together. My closest friend is from Beirut. We've discussed the war and basically have concluded the same as you, this war is bullshit. One of my longtime high school friends is in the air force. And she thinks the same. Believe me, most of us Americans are really against the war.

First of all I don't support attacking iran because I know exactly what you have said that it will entrench the hardline government iran has right now, but if I were you I would not listen to the anti bush people here because bush said when they introduced the new sanctions regarding the enriched uranium that he wanted the sanctions to hurt the nuke program and not the iranian people. The liberal democrats in our country have so much hate for president bush that they do not listen to anything he says or they would have heard bush and sec. rice say what I just mentioned on tv. He cannot invade iran unless the democratic party votes to authorize it like they did in iraq and that is not going to happen, he has stated also he has no intentions of attacking iran so I don't see it happening. The democrats try to blame bush for iraq when they voted to go to war with them and now they wont take responsiblity for their actions they just blame bush. I'm sorry that you had to hear some of the responses you have gotten to your question I apologize for the bad behavior of some of the americans here and good luck changing your government and maybe in the future their can be peace between our countries.

I've heard this kind of argument before. In English, the idiom is "damned if you do, damned if you don't." If America doesn't attack Iran, the Iranian leaders will be emboldended to continue thier nuclear program and to become involved more and more in Iraq. If America does attack Iran, it will alienate those Iranian people who aren't already anti-American, who may even be pro-American or pro-liberalization at least.

The real question is, who's really in charge of Iran? Iran is nominally a democracy. If it's people don't want conflict with the US, they should be able to have some influence on thier leaders. Just as many Americans are trying to get thier leaders to leave Iraq, Iranians can try to get thier leaders to abandon thier quest for The Bomb.

Haletun chetoreh? Personally, I am not in favor of war with Iran. Part of the reason for this is as you said, inciting the people to follow anti-Western leaders. However, for more practical reasons, if we were to attack Iran for supposed development of nuclear weapons, there remains the little problem of Americans not knowing where all of the enrichment facilities are. Also, many of the ones we do know of are so deep underground that only tactical nuclear weapons would definitively destroy them (which we are not willing to use). Lastly, by attacking Iran, we would be inciting the Pasdaran to increase their support to the insurgency in Iraq dramatically, endangering our troops. From a strictly military standpoint, it would be at best a stupid and poorly designed operation.

No I'm not a supporter of war, against Iran or anyone else right now. The reason you see the propoganda about Iran is that Bush and the warmongers are planning to go to Iran just like they planned Iraq. They are letting out little bits of their plan to prepare the American people for the fact that they intend to send our soldiers to Iran. We don't get a vote in the matter. And for future reference, in America mullah is slang for money. So you might want to add a definition. I'm one of many who don't believe war with Islam will solve our problems. I think we should just withdraw and cut them all off and have nothing whatsover to do with them. Sorry if that offends you as that's not my intention. It's not about the people, it's about the politics. We don't belong there and they don't belong here and I don't want Americans dying for rich politicians and their ulterior motives.

I'm a Christian and I'm against America picking any fights with Iran. I think they're feeding us this propaganda so we'll accept a war with Iran. (I keep spitting it out.)

Whatever Iran does within its own borders is Iran's own business and not ours.

I have an isolationist stance myself. I believe in having no foreign entanglements.

Our freedom, it seems, is a sham. We have "free speech zones." That's typically where no one will notice you, go figure. Our Constitution is being shredded. Sadly the flag-waving jingoists here seem to outnumber the real patriots. People are so busy guzzling beer and watching American Idol that they really don't care, so long as they can sit in front of the TV.

I am a supporter of whatever needs to be done to stop your President from, for example, "wiping Israel off the face of the earth." He already insists that the Holocaust did not happen and he refuses to abide by even what the UN has said. I believe Iran is working toward nuclear weapons and I believe if your country gets them, he'll use them. I suppose that the Iranian people are no different from us and don't necessarily hate us nor do I hate them or wish them harm. But if your government insists on harming us or our allies, including but not limited to supplying the Iraqi insurgents with weapons that murder our troops, then we must do whatever we must do to protect ourselves.

So in 27 years, you people have not got rid of the govt, but you're saying we shouldn't attack, because that might DELAY your getting rid of the govt?

This makes no sense at all.
If you - and other young people - don't like the govt, get rid of it.
What? Not so easy?
Then when the US takes charge, DON'T oppose us!
