I am the worst at chemistry and i was wondering if anyone could help me out w/ hw. I really do want to understand this so if u could explain how u did it that would be great.Thanks!!

okay, so you need to sum the charges so that they equal the charge of the entire compound

know that oxygen is usually has a -2 oxidation state
hydrogen and sodium both have +1 oxidation states
these can be found from the periodic table
common oxidation states
group 1 = +1
group 2 = +2
group 3 = +3

group 5 = -3
group 6 = -2
group 7 = -1

so
a)
UO2 = +2
1(U) + 2(-2) = +2, solve for U

continue this process for the rest of the compounds

d. As=0

1 mole contains 6.032 x 10^23 molecules Let 'a' moles contain 3.01 x 10^23 molecules a = 3.01 x 10^23/ 6.023 x 10^23 molecules a = 0.5 moles Hope that helps!

i love doin these but recenlt left school well last july and cant remember the +2 is somthing to do with how many neutrons or somthing and if its positive makes it ermmm magnetism i think

why would you do chemistry if you are the worst ? talk to your counselor about alternate classes .
