I assume you mean:

d = i / (1 + ni)

d(1 + ni) = i
d + dni = i
dni = i - d
n = (i - d) / (di)
you can simplify further if you want...
n = (i/di) - (d/di)
n = (1/d) - (1/i)

I don't even know why I'm answering this, because I haven't reached algebra class yet, but I do know algebra a bit. But, I need a little more info to help you. I'm so so sorry. Keep trying, though. :)

D - Ni = i/1

D - Ni = i

- Ni = i - D

- N= (i-d)/i

you can further simplify to

- N = (i/i) - (d/i)

- N = 1 - (D/i)

N = -1 + (D/i)
