The oldest EVER was George Blanda. He was drafted by the Bears in 1948 and also played for the Oilers and finished his long career with the Raiders in like 1978 or so.

Morten Anderson will actually be 47 when the season starts, and yes he is the oldest player in the NFL. In fact, he is seven months older than his current head coach, Bobby Petrino.

morton anderson or gary andersen if we're talking nfl. those guys may not be signed yet but will likely be on some nfl roster by the end of the season, just like last year.
