you don't mention your age honey, but yes, you have begun your period, the brown discharge is normal. Just use a feminine napkin, and tell your mom about it in the morning.

Calm down, honey, it's okay. Yes, it probably is your period. The first few cycles are usually accompanied by diarrehea, which can dry quickly... so the brown stuff is either that or blood that had dried before you noticed it. Don't worry, it may be icky but it's totally normal.
Go into your mom's bathroom and borrow one of her pads. Peel off the paper backing and stick the pad onto a fresh pair of panties. You can try soaking your stained ones in cold water and scrubbing them with hand soap or Woolite, but at this stage it's probably better to just throw them in the trash (wrap it in a plastic bag first, just in case!).
If you can, call your mom at work and let her know.
Welcome to womanhood!

Yes, congratulations, you have started your period. The brown stuff is older blood, it turns a rusty brownish color.....
Try to find some pads or something to use, if you need to you can talk to your dad about it....I know it's embarassing, but believe me, it will be a little embarassing for him too. It's a natural human function that every female has to go through.

honey!!! this is your period. i was the same way when i first started. the brown stuff is old blood. if its not heavy just wear a panty liner. if its not heavy, since your mom isn't home, you can put some toilet paper down there just until your mom gets home.

You are probably beginning!
Do not panic!
It is natural and normal!
It may begin as what looks like dried blood!
It is a light flow situation.
Just make a pad out of wadded up toilet paper.
Smile!
You are becoming a woman!

The brown stuff could be old blood. Sometimes all the blood doesn't make its way out. If this continues I suggest that you either douche or possibly go to the doctors( not to scare you) but it could be a problem in your tubes. I also experience it.
