Try to simplify first
5 sqrts of 24 = 5 sqrts (4*6)=10 sqrts 6
8 sqrts of 150 = 8sqrts (25*6) = 40 sqrts 6
Now the number in the square root is the same we can subtract
10 sqrts 6 - 40 sqrts of 6 = -30 sqrts 6

Yahoo! is able to answer this question using the query:
5*sqrt(24)-8*sqrt(150)
it will give you
-73.4846922835
However
sqrt(24) = 2*sqrt(6)
so 10*sqrt(6)-8*sqrt(150) is more neat to write.

5√24 - 8√150
= 5 . sqrt(4 . 6) - 8 . sqrt(25 . 6)
= 5 . sqrt(4) . sqrt(6) - 8 . sqrt(25) . sqrt(6)
= 5 . 2 . sqrt(6) - 8 . 5 . sqrt(6)
= 10 sqrt6 - 40 sqrt6
= - 30 sqrt6
