not a stupid question.

your budy doesn't so much burn extra calories during your period but you are advised to consume an extra 200 calories per day - not chocolate, which is caloreis from fat, but slow release carb calories. this is particularly if you suffer from bad cramps - something to do with helping your body cope with the pain (i don't know the ins and outs of this)

also apparently your metabolism is super fast just before your period so in theory you can consume UP TO 500 extra calories a day (obviously each individula is different)

nope, the menstrual cycle is a normal part of life for a woman's body, you do not burn any extra calories.

NO! Your period does not cause you to burn calories any faster or more than normal.

i doubt it. i read that too but there is no scientific proof....... i just stay on my diet even when i have cravings on my period. i'm pretty sure its just because your body is releasing a bunch of crap and youre losing nutrients
