How many of you put your left sock on first?

yeah i do. my science teacher said that its because we read left to right so we think everything should be done left to right

I read an article that people tend to put the sock on the foot opposite of their dominant hand. i.e. If you are right handed you would go for the left foot first & visa versa.

There is also a conflicting study with less data stating the correlation is between which side of your brain handles motor skills, but it's not substantiated as much as the first theory.

*raises hand* I do, but sometimes I try and my darned RIGHT foot jumps in front. It has always been more agressive. I have tried to teach it patience but it keeps insisting that it is better than my left and that I MUST put my BEST foot forward.

I am ashamed, but I don't know what to do. Maybe I need to post a question about it here, but I have been too embarrassed as to what people may think.

I will keep TRYING to clothe my left foot first, if for no other reason, to teach my right foot patience, love, and tolerance.

Well I always thought it was because I was left handed that I put the left sock on first!! lol

I never really thought of it, but my left sock goes on first. I wonder if it is because I am right handed.

I normally put left Sock because its easier to put right one on.

Golly, I'd have said that I had no particular order, BUT now you mention it I can't imagine putting my right one on first. Why is that?
