As I understand it, Pfizer has the registered right to the Viagra pill. If you are using a Generic Viagra you are using a unregistered one and maybe not FDA approved or not cleared by Pfizer. Care should be taken.

Viagra (Pfizer's brand name for sildenafil citrate) is still under patent protection. There is no such thing as "generic Viagra". Anything purporting to be that is counterfeit -- and most of them are probably milk sugar or worse, some other drug that could be harmful.

Only Pfizer can market sildenafil citrate under any name and they have not released it under any other name or authorized any other company to produce it.
