I see this question has been posted before, so I'm not the only person who was shocked to find that aluminum foil can melt. Did anyone try any of the suggestions and did they work?

The melting point of aluminum is 1220 degrees F. No way you oven gets that hot. Much more likely that melted food is holding a piece of foil stuck in you oven.

Aluminum foil doesn't melt. Something spilled in the oven, and the foil stuck to it. Get off as much of the foil as you can. Put a rag on top of what's left and soak the rag in a lot of water. The water will soften whatever the foil is stuck to. Just pull it off. May take 2-3 applications
