The Bay Bridge itself was not affected at all. It's a 200-foot section of the MacArthur Maze, which is a heavily-traveled transit point between many highways. Alternate routes have been posted by Cal Trans.

No. The part of the roadway that melted is only two, one-way portions that go south towards San Jose. Easy enough to get around and to an alternate route to San Jose.

why would it be closed? you will have a hard time accessing SF from the east bay and the south bay due to the connector ramps being down, but there are ways around it via surface street

no but they recommend you take the train - today (im not sure about the rest of the week) all train stations are free.
