Much of rap music is aimed at violence towards women, so yes, it is aimed at "certain" people. And why should that matter anyway? If what the person says is not illegal...and the FCC hasn't banned "nappy-headed ho's"... then arbitrary firing of the person saying it is censorship. If you are going to ban the words, then ban them for everyone, otherwise it is pure hypocrisy. If people don't like those words, then let the capitalistic system work...they turn off the show, it goes away.

BTW...I don't care for Imus' humor, but I also don't like censorship.

The reason people are saying they are related is because the people who are bashing Imus for what he said have never came out and said anything about african american rappers using this same language over and over and over. It is hypocritical and a double standard for them to let one group get away with it and yet bash one man for using the same lanjgauage as a joke. It is a form of reverse racism really. Neither one should be an issue at all though because people have the first amendment and freedom of speech and also people have freedom to listen to whatever they want, no one is forced to listen to either.

The I-Man was trying to sound like a rapper when he was talking about the Rutgers girls' basketball team. Now those who bashed I-Man are going after rappers because of their language describing other people.
