That is an interesting correlation. I do think there is "some" truth to it however I feel there is a little more to the story.
Alot of ppl are angry, they try and try and things don't go their way that turns into apathy and that turns into depression so I can see your point. But other depression patients have a feeling of worthlessness, no value, they aren't necessarily angry about anything but are just utterly upset with themselves. I do honestly agree that some people start with anger and it works its way to depression, but I also think there are others that do not develop that way.
Just my two cents.

What is sad, is that some really get the enthusiasm out of being depressed, and that I do not understand..I need my efforts to release the anger and get enthusiastic over other energies.

You have a point. Depression is fraught with anger. It's also rife with grief and self loathing and the inability to see beyond one's own pain.
Heartbreaking really, and misunderstood.

Nah! Depression is fairly passive... Last time I checked, anger was pretty aggressive!

Depression isnt something that can be stated so bluntly or simply. It is more like, your brain is stuck on a bad mode and it effects life, health, and everything. It isnt something you just stumble apon.
