Where the lake is located might help a bit. Temperature plays a huge role on the ecology of aquatic environments.
But to start you off and get you thinking
-Cladocerans - water fleas like Daphnia
-Rotifers - tiny crustacean plankton
-Fish - look for specific species endemic to the lake's location, like trout, catfish, hake, gobies, minnows...
-Phytoplankton - diatoms and dinoflagellates (photosynthetic but animals nonetheless)
Many organisms use aquatic habitats as nurseries - things like mosquitos and amphibians (frogs and salamanders) so look for those sorts of things too.
I wish I could be more help, but without knowing where this lake is this is the best I could do.

Lord almighty. Just type it into Yahoo for crying out loud. It's not really that hard to find water creatures and it would take a lot less time than waiting for people to answer your question.
