Clinton was impeached and what did it matter? So if they did impeach Bush..what does that do to him that he should worry about? What is the purpose of impeachment and what serious impact does it have? What did it have on Clinton? Seems to have had none.

impeachment means that the president will brought before the other branches of goverment to be forced out. Clinton was impeached, but, he was not forced out. Impeachment is the begining of the process. And, Clinton Lied about having Sex. Bush lied about going to war, which is worse. sex, or war.

No Clinton always comes out squeeky clean but your past always catchs up and his will one day. It wouldn't do Bush that much harm but it would screw it up for the Democrats in 2008 and midterms. It wouldn't look good to have the country to impeach two presidents in a row and you don't do it during war time. It would be a tremendous cost and for what, if he had done something to be impeached for he would have been by now so they would spend yrs trying to make a case. In 2008 he will be out and the liberals can try to move on.

Clinton was not successfully impeached. Because the attempt was made, though, the Dems, now that they control Congress, are itching to do the same to Bush. Though, they don't have the votes to overturn a veto, so, as with Clinton, even if it happens, it will almost certainly fail.

First he should never have been placed in office by the SCOTUS! Second, he should have been locked up and placed under the jail with absolutely no hope what so ever of a reprieve or pardon the first year in office, which is what he'll probably get even if convicted!

Well.. If they (Libs) stop talking about bush they wouldn't have anything else to talk about. It is not like Impeachment is going to radically change this country

What is going to happen is if the democrats can't win and election they are going to first try to use their lawyers to overturn the election. Now it seems that having failed at that they are going to try to impeach the other sides leaders.

It's just something to publicly scar their resume other than that it's no big deal - I agree! Look at Clinton supporting his wife wanting to run? It didn't affect them at all. When the public addresses him - they still say 'President'. So it must be just a humiliation moment. WAAH!
