exact quote, to forestall liberal whine.
If the president wonders why the American people have lost patience, it is because the news out of Iraq grows worse by the day," Reid said. "When we send the supplemental conference report to President Bush tomorrow, we ask that he take some time to reflect on that somber fact."

Two things immediatley come to mind here, first, perhaps harry "forgot" that declaring failure unilaterally and without provocation doesnt do much to alleviate the "somber" mood and its truly priceless he cant understand he is the chief cause of that mood by playing games with the funding as echoed by chuck shumer(DEMOCRAT).
and finally, if he would just put a cork in it, get out of the way and allow things to proceed as the democrats are claiming they want to in the true spirit of "bipartanship"(yeah right) he declared days ago, then the soldiers could do their jobs and we wouldnt have to listen to endless whining from the pelosi/reid regime.

no, EXCUSE ME RL;..the democrats couldnt be more off base if they were in a different ballpark. you may be willing to give billary and pre flip flop john edwards a pass on the iraq war IM NOT. this isnt bushs war because the liberal extremists didnt get the poll they wanted. its AMERICAS WAR because al qaeda bombed us and CLINTON IGNORED IT FOR EIGHT YEARS. as a suvivor of 911 in manhattan at wtc your opinoin of this war being a flippant and careless political move both sickens and disgusts me. this war was caused by people who want to end western civilization as we know it. you think you know al qaeda and iraq because you read the pelosi press releases...BULL. I was there pal. I saw the people jumping out of windows to their deaths and the smoke ash and misery. If you honestly believe the diatribe of Harry Reid about this war being a faliure, then al qaeda can will excuse to attack here again. I strongly urge you to read the nypost/yahoo blog on reid, it urges him to cork it

So Democrats are the reason the troop can't do their jobs? You send people into a combat zone without proper body or vehicle armor, and it's the Dems?

How about "The Three Stooges" having zero combat experience? Ya think?

Since the terrorist followed us to Iraq, don't you think they would have followed us to AFGHANISTAN where we were SUPPOSED to be exacting our revenge for 9/11?

The Troops don't suffer from "low morale" because of healthy debate here at home. You insult the intelligence of our fighters. That is one of the priviledges that they swear to DEFEND. I know because I was one.

MEMO: FOX is lying to you. ALL G.I.s are not Republican and all G.I.s don't believe in this President.

Harry Reid, Dick (The Turban) Derbain and Hillary Clinton will do in this country sooner or later. For the life of me, I cannot understand why Massusettians keep electing Ted (waitress sandwich and the swimmer) Kennedy and John F***ing Kerry.
Guess I'll never understand Modern Yankee Liberals...but I think I'm getting a handle on their "mindset".

And What? The Bush Administration's mismanagement of the whole Iraq operation (not to mention the results to date) has nothing to do with our dissatisfaction with the way things are going over there.

The Triumverate of Bush/Rumsfeld/Rove set the tone for this mess before it even started. They based the size of our deployment based on what they thought the public would tolerate (determined, no doubt by countless polls), rather than basing it on would be needed not only to roll to Baghdad and deal with Saddam, but to secure areas already taken. It is also astounding that the Holy Trinity was totally unprepared to fight an enemy that hides among the civilian population, uses civilians for human shields, and does the bulk of their fighting disguised as civilians. Being a liberal, I could rant and rave for several hours about Bush's crimes against logic in preparing to invade Iraq, but you probably wouldn't be interested....suffice to say that there is plenty of blame to go around.

I also find it interesting that you point fingers at the Democrats for preventing our servicemen from doing their jobs properly. While they (and I do not say "we"...although I consider myself quite liberal, people like Jack Murtha and Dick Durbin do not speak for me.) have done and said things that have hampered the effectivness of our troops, it seems to me that the biggest obstacle to success against the insurgents is the ludicrous rules of engagement laid down by the Big Three, under which almost anytime there is a firefight, an investigation follows, and our GI's seem to have the burden of proof thrust on them to demonstrate that they have conducted themselves properly. If anyone should be letting the troops get on about their business in the best way they know, it should be the Bush-Rove two headed monster, who can't seem to grasp the fact that in a war innocent civilians get killed, and people who are sympathetic to the other side (either the other side in the war, or the other side politically)are going to get pissed off, and nothing can prevent either...so the best way to conduct a war is to do what you gotta do (translation, Dubya...maximum force), and let the chips fall where they may (you can be concerned about world opinion and regret the loss of innocent life, but you have to fight the war to win...period).

Blame the Democrats all you want, but the mess in Iraq was created by our Commander-in-Chief and the people he constantly takes bad advice from. If the Democrats are laying on the criticism a bit thick, they are merely echoing the mood of a large segment of the population, not creating it.

Excuse me, I think your "Dittohead" T-Shirt is showing.
