Tell your parent or gurdian they are always a support. Ask them to go shopping and you pick out some confortable things (pads, tampons (should start w/ pads first) ect) What ever makes you confortable!

Welcome to womanhood!
If you don't have a pad handy, then I would suggest taking toilet paper and wrapping it up around your hand and putting it in your panties. This will feel really awkward, I know. But its just for now.
Go get your parent/guardian, & tell them. They will be supportive of you so don't hesitate to tell and/or don't be scared.
It's time to go to the store. But what do you need? I would get pads, that is, until you feel you're ready for a tampon. I would suggest using Kotex. They are a fabulous brand, and they have a soft wrapper so it makes less noise while using public restrooms. Always is okay, I used them when I first started out, but I soon found out I had an allergic reaction to them, so I consulted my doctor. Most certainly it was a reaction, and she said that most girls do react allergically from the brand. So I switched to Kotex and have been using them ever since and highly suggest them.
Since summer is about here, I'm sure you're going to want to go swimming. Tip number one, never swim with a pad. So, you might want to get some tampons, you're going to have to play around to find the size, most girls are regular. Playtex is a great brand. If you're into sports, Playtex Sport is good. Anything will do, as I said, but play around so you know.
Something else you should know, never flush a pad or tampon. It'll clog the toilet. Usually in women's restrooms, there is a specific trash can or little bucket on the stall for tampons and pads.
You may also find yourself getting cramps. A terrible thing about menstruation. Also, you may get PMS, most people describe this as 'a girl in a bad mood'. To ease cramps, you might want to soak in a warm bath, and take some pain reliever. Midol is designed for period cramps.
Congratulations! Hope I helped you out a bit.

Get some teen midol and pads. Don't get scented ones if you have sensitive skin. I would stay away from tampons until your older. Also if you have cramps you can throw some rice in a sock tie the end and heat in the microwave for a homemade heating pad. Wear loose clothes with dark colors and change your pad every time you go to the restroom. If cramps get really bad take a warm bath. You'll be fine just don't wear white. Congratulations on becoming a young lady.

Congratulations. I agree get some pads or tampons. Have a couple in your back pack or purse because your period may be a little irregular the first year so you may get a few surprise visits. If you get cramps use an nsaid like advil or aleve and a heating pad. Walking around helps with that too.
Good luck.

Get pads. Tampons may cause infection so wait until you are older to use those. Tell your mom you got your period. Eat a banana (these help with cramps). Lay down / stretch when the leaking is slowing down a little.

Use a sanitary pad & tell your mom. You're a woman now!!! Have your mom or a mother figure, take you shopping to buy pads & some sanitary wipes. They have travel packs of the sanitary wipes too, so you can keep them in your purse. You'll want to keep yourself extra clean when you change your pads. Make sure you take plenty of pads to school with you, so you can change often, so as to prevent accidents. Wear dark clothing when your period is near or when you have it, just in case, so you won't have embarrassing marks. Also, make sure you have a calendar handy, so you can keep track of when you started your period & when the next one is due. (figure about every 28 days) That way, you will have time to keep yourself supplied with pads & Tampax, that is, when you're ready to start wearing them. You may flow heavier at night, so wear a more absorbent pad.

First of all don't be scared because we all go through this as women. Make sure to tell your parents so that they can get you the supplies that you need. If you don't yet carry a purse you might want to get one so that you can always carry them with you because you never know exactly what time of day you are going to start the next time. Also, keep a calendar and mark when each one starts and stops so that you can begin to predict when to start carrying the supplies with you. Talk to your friends who have already started theirs because they know what you are feeling and it gives you someone to turn to. For the really important things like birthcontrol, pregnancy and sex make sure you go to an adult you trust if you are too embarrassed to talk to your parents. I hope this helps.

OMG CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Welcome to the world of cramps, bloating, irritability, and weird cravings! Ok here is the survival kit:
Pads or tampons ( I recommend starting with pads or slim tampons and dont leave a tampon in for more than 8 hours. Im sure youve heard of TSS- toxic shock syndrome.)\
Midol ( take 3 days before expecting your period it'll help with cramps)
Tylenol or other pain killers ( so you wont have cramps while your periods are still irregular)
A calendar ( to track your periods with)
Good Luck!!!!

Well, first of all you should tell your mom or something. Then you should get a pad ASAP. take some tylenol or something if you feel in pain because you are gonna need it, if it hurts. wear stretchy pants because tight ones tend to make it worse. (for me anyway.) take it easy, maybe drink some tea. and dont worry if you cant fit into clothes you could wear yesterday, you'll go back to normal when your period stops.
