(10/9)x -(11/8) = 21/4
(10/9)x = 21/4 +11/8
(10/9)x =42/8 +11/8 =53/8
x= (53)(9)/(8)(10)
x= 477/80
x=5 and 77/80 or
x=5.9625

10x/9 = 5 2/8 + 1 3/8 = 6 5/8 = 53/8
x = 9*53/80 = 5 + 77/80

Im a big fan of telling people to do their own homework. If you cant get this one then work with a class mate or leave that one blank as ask your teacher. Good luck, I hate math too!
