It is a 10 gallon tank with 4 cichlids and 2 plecos. I use all of the water conditioners how I am supposed to use them. I do everything for the fish tank "by the book".

Yellow water is usually due to the accumulation of proteins and fats in the water. This most often comes from over feeding or a long delay between water changes. Changing water a bit more often or in slightly larger amounts will help. Fresh carbon in your filter will remove the proteins and fats within 24 hours.

That's actually too many fish for such a little tank. Try doing a 10% water change everyday. It sounds like there's too much waste being produced. Here's a link for fish care.
