When I was learning I used dots. I'd make three dots. One in the inner corner, the middle and outer corner, then just connect the dots. If you are a little messy, clean up the edges with a q-tip. The process could be used on upper or lower lid. The more you practice, the easier it gets.

1. Line the eyes in black eyeliner. Use liquid on the top lid and pencil on the bottom lid.
2. While lining the eyes also line them “kohl.” The way this is done is by applying the eyeliner on the flat of the eyelid above the lashes on the bottom lid and below the lashes on the top lid.
3.Apply black eyeshadow around the entire eye.
4. Using a wet brush apply the same color to the top lid to make for a more rich color.
5. Once the wet coat is applied, then apply more eyeshadow dry.
6. Choose another color as a highlight if you choose, and use a powder.
7. Use eyebrow wax to shape eyebrows, then pencil over the eyebrows for a full look.
8. apply black mascara, curl lashes, then apply mascara again.
6 is optional..I use these tips when Im out at the club and they work fabulously!

I find it easier to gently pull the top of my eyelid into a straight line. You can do this by closing your eye and placing a finger on the outer corner and gently pull outwards. It is easier to apply it in a straight line than a curve. I start with a thin line in the corner of my eye and as I go outwards the line gradually gets thicker. I also will apply it above and below the bottom lashes. If you apply it above your bottom lashes yours eyes pop and look sexy but be very careful not to poke your eye (Did that once and cried for forever). I have tried tons of different eyeliners and the best but cheap eyeliner that I have used is Revlon Colorstay. This eyeliner will last up to 10 hours and will last through tears and rain! It will take a little practice but if you do mess up you can remove smudges or smears with a little bit of baby oil on a Q-tip!
Hope this helps!

Only apply eyeline on the lower eyelid. Be careful to not poke your eye. You can apply inside the eyelid (or) on the outer lid.
