Yes she most definitely should quit. There is a lot of risk with doing that kind of activity while pregnant. I was told no lifting my arms above my head and other things. Plus if she is cheer leading there are other risk as well. Possible falls, lifting other cheerleaders and so on.Is she under a physicians care? If not it is really important she get to a Dr immediately. Dr's are sworn to patient confidentiality. So if for some reason she hasn't told her parents which hopefully she has she will have privacy with the Dr.I know where I live if you don't receive prenatal care they can report you to authorities for not doing so. So make sure she sees a Dr and make sure you go with her.

yes and no. She should continue cheerleading because there is going to be a time when her life as she knows it will be over, BUT she needs to talk to the cheerleading sponsor and never participate in pyramids, high jumps, etc. that could cause harm to the baby. Shouting and cheering will not harm the baby, and certainly being on the squad can only be a good thing. This coming from a former teenage pregranant high school student.

You guys probably have alot of book sense but no common sense! Any ol dog will know they have to quit cheerleading. Have Cassie told her parents? well then she needs to, immediately. Maybe her mom might be able to help with these questions you have.
GOOD LUCK AND A SAFE DELIVERY TO CASSIE.

She may want to quit cheerleading after this school year is over. She will start to become very tired and will need her rest. If I was in her situation, that is what I would have done.
There are many challenges ahead for you two- do NOT give up though. Good luck to the two of you...

I hope you're not serious.
Yes, of course she should stop cheerleading. Why would you even question it? If you don't want the baby to die, she needs to stop cheerleading. Very simple.
Please realize that what you and your girlfriend want in your lives no longer exist. This is just the beginning of giving up a lot for your child.

She should probably quit while she's pregnant because cheerleaders do alot of physical things that could cause her to fall & hurt the baby.

Ok, well first thing is first. If you are positive she is pregnant, go to the doctor. I'm not sure what her limits would be, as far as cheering. But i used to cheer, and personally it doesn't sound like a good idea. There are many things that can harm a baby, and you wouldn't want to jeopardize either of their lives.

She might want to take it easy b/c cheerleading is very strenuous, and the baby's early development is crucial.
There are also many stretches and positions that are dangerous for a pregnant woman and her child (but ok normally).

I would probley ask the docter first to see what they say. I was in cheerleading when I was in high school and now that I am preggo I couldnt imagine them letting her do it. Ask the docs to be sure. Good luck!!
