yeah i did, i know it was rather stupid of me, but i heard that if you had sex while on your period and you had a tampon you could have sex as long as you hold on to the string, well i let go of the string and got out of it and forgot about it til i went to go and change my tampon...now i cant get it out....do i need to go to the doctor ASAP??

If you can't remove it yourself you have to go to the doctor. Don't worry, they've seen it lots of times before. You will probably be seen by a nurse, who will ask you to lie down, same as you would for a pelvic exam. They will probably try to remove it without any equipment but if that doesn't work they will have to insert a speculum and use something to grab the string or the tampon and pull it out. Take a pad with you because you won't be wanting to use a tampon right away afterwards.
And if you are going to have sex during your period in the future, take your tampon out first! If he doesn't like the sound of that then he's just gonna have to wait a few days next time!

As embarrassing as it may seem, it is better to go to the doc and have it removed... ob-gyns see this problem every so often... you will not be the first - I promise you. If you wait too long (even one or two days is too long) the old tampon will collect bacteria and an infection will set in... you could even get toxic shock syndrome... which is deadly. GET IT OUT now.... swallow your pride, and go to the doctor. They will NOT laugh at you and will merely give you an antibiotic to counteract any infection you might have starting in your body because of this... and probably a stern warning to not do it again.
We get those few days to cleanse our bodies.... tell your boyfriend to put his d*** away and let you be for a few days.... it will be more exciting if you'll wait that week than if you indulge in your desire in a risky manner.

Having had intercourse with your tampon still inside of you should not cause any “damage”. Your vagina has plenty of room to accommodate both the tampon and your lover’s parts. However, It is possible for the penis to push the tampon too far up the vaginal canal and for the tampon to get wrapped around the cervix. This may be uncomfortable and very difficult to remove the tampon.
If you can't remove it yourself then someone is going to have to do it for you... I would assume you would prefer your doctor to do this for the sake of safety and being sanitary.

Yes, go to the doctor so they can get it out....the longer it is in there, the more susceptible to infection you are. By they way...no you cannot safely have sex while wearing a tampon...not even if you tie the tampon to the bed post to anchor it!! It just doesn't work...One thing in at a time.

Shame chick that sounds kinda gross. I dunno how it didnt hurt? although I have thought about it when Im on.
But dont worry I have heard of worse. My GP told me of how a chick had a hot dog sausage stuck up there. Of all things. Now that can cause a serious infection.
Another thing I have seen with my own eyes is a female stripper (I used to work in a bar). She was famous for doing the "banana split". Yup, straddles a peeled banana and then feeds it to one of her unwilling spectators. How does she clean her "bits" afterwards and not get an infection Ill never know!

Wow, I am amazed at how little idea so many people have. If you can fit a d*ck and a tampon up there you can fit two fingers in to get it out. I do not think you are stupid, I done it and so have plenty others. No harm done, just keep trying and pushing till you get it. Please let us know what happened.

You need to go have the doctor get it out. You can have sex while on your period without a tampon. (I just did it the other day...)

yeah doctors see cases like this probably about 6 or 7 times a month so its not anything new or embarassing.... if you cant personally make your pussy tighter and push it out or get ur man to try to get it out then yes you need to go to the doctor and for future references if youre gonna do it on your rag like i do sometimes do it in the shower : ) if you hold on to the string it doesnt do anything he'll still get blood on him so just go to the shower

My advice would be to go and see your docter if you cannot get the tampon out as there could be a risk of Toxic shock syndrome (TSS), but dont worry this is very rare.
