Slobs are one thing, but just because someone's "financially disadvantaged" as you put it, that doesn't mean you're any better. I'm no bum but going to see a movie in the theater would be somewhat of a treat for me & my family cause it's so expensive. I wouldn't want to sit next to your arrogant a.ss either. Take your very expensive dinner and shove it. If you don't want people in a theater to ruin it for you, don't go see the movie.

You could buy extra tickets and TRY to hold seats by putting coats in them, having yourself and your date sit in the two outer seats and planning on moving in next to each other once the movie starts, etc. Most movie theaters will not allow this though, as you're not technically allowed to hold seats, even for ticketed customers, if there isn't a body to fill the seats. Maybe get some reliable friends to meet you there and just hold the seats until the movie starts? It'll reduce the amount of "couple time" you two have, but once the movie starts you might have a nice buffer zone around you.
Unfortunately I don't think you'll be able to pull it off, as the theater will be PACKED on opening night. Best of luck, tho!

You put a coat on the empties next to you and when someone tries to sit there you babble in some fake foreign language and gesture at the seat and the entrance till they get frustrated and just leave you alone.

attempt to take a seat down interior the back. human beings frequently get a sprint lazy and opt to take a seat down interior the 1st accessible seat, so in case you take a seat interior the back, human beings probably won't basically plop down next to you on an empty bus. particular, it bothers me too if i take advantage of the bus and that happens.

Buy two extra seats(one on either side of you) and then if anyone trys to sit down, nicely show them your extra tickets and tell them your plan. And if they try to sit anyway, have your boyfriend scare them away.

Hire out the theatre. My fiancee did that when he proposed to me. Extrememly expensive, but for a perfect evening it might be worth it.
