That sounds suspicious. I would call them to do another meter read. Sometimes they get it wrong.

I have window units, I see no sense cooling rooms I don't use. I know central air has vents in the rooms but they don't completely close off and the unit works just as hard anyway, so window units for me! I live in the deep south and my power bill never goes over $150.00 a month and I'm plenty cool!

It is usually cheaper to run central air than window units. good luck

i use central air and it costs me bout 160.00 a month.Including running the dryer and dishwasher and at night when we are all home there are 3 tvs goin on and 2 computers.I do think wall units are alot cheaper though.

its less cheaper to use a split A/c than a window because consume less electricity and less noise and more effect
