People think Kobe's better than MJ because "Alleged Rapist" is their only star. In the Jordan days at Chicago, he had the support of Pippen, Kukoc, Kerr, etc. etc. etc. so he didn't need to score 60 points to keep his team in games.
So I'd go with a combination of all the three. An ignorant, adolescent druggie has no idea how good MJ was.

It took MJ like 8 years to get his teamates involved. Kobe is way better 3 point shooter than Jordan. But just because Jordan has 6 rings I guess it would make him better than Kobe.
Kobe has already beaten a lot of MJ's records and he still playing. So I guess we will find out after Kobe retires.

Probaly a mixture of all 3. The morons who just think Kobe is better then MJ because they are retarded. The kids that never really got to see MJ play in his prime. In the 1990s and earlier basketball wasn't as advanced as how it advanced into today such as the 2000s and so on. Jordan had an easy competition, don't be pulling out silly points that he had to go against Bird, Hakeem, Shaq, etc etc. Basketball wasn't really advanced as it is from 2000 and on since. Kobe pulled an impressive 5 Championships and he had tougher competitions that jordan. He did have Shaq too to help him out and other great players such as Odom and Artes, so it wasn't just kobe to make them win. However he has got 5 rings, he went against a tougher competition, and he is an outstanding player. In addition, if Jordan didn't have Pippen on his team, it would also be tougher for him to win because Pippen was a badass mofo and he vastly helped jordan win some rins, so it wouldn't be appropiate to think that it was Jordan that got his championships by himself. To sum all up, they are one of the best players in the NBA, but Kobe is the best. If Jordan's prime was playing into this age of basketball, he would have a tougher time and will probably not pull 6 rings or higher (Maybe 3-5). You are entitled to your own opinion though and I respect it if you agree or disagree with me. What i would rate jordan out a 100: 93/100. What i would rate Kobe out of a hundred: 95/100. Don't forget about LeBron too, he is going to pull more rings without a single doubt, I think he is going to end up with 4-5 championships by the end of his retirement. thank you

Nobody ever said that Kobe was better than MJ, I personally think that MJ is one of the best ballers of all time. But I have to be reasonable, I pick 1 and 2.

Kobe is a rapist and a ball hog of a player, all he cares about is his own numbers, that is why he will never win again. Younger people will say that Kobe is better and even people with low IQ's should know that Jordan was better. Living through the Jordan years and witnessing him in action with the Bulls was real basketball. The last great Laker was Kareem!!!

Youngsters. They think that just because Kobe scores 50 ppg, he is better than the greatest. Kobe won 3 titles, but he had Shaq. Michael had Pippen, but Shaq is a sure fire first-ballot Hall of Famer. Michael won 6, double Kobe.
