Honestly why can't we focus on keeping the Muhamed Attas out this country instead of sending troops to stir up even more hatred over there? I consider myself a liberal and don't have a problem with immigration as a rule. Also yes I know Saudi Arabia is our ally, my question refers to the majority population not the government.

Our borders are open to legal immigration. You can not judge an individual based soley on the majority opinion of their country... which poll would you rely on? Numbers can always be twisted, there would be fights over which info was credible, etc.

It may interest you to know the only remaining law from the Alien and Sedition Acts is the one that allows the government to ban immigration of peoples from any country the U.S. is at war with.

You don't REALLY think that everyone in the Muslim world is anti-American, do you? You surely must read, must have Muslim friends or acquaintances. You must have some knowledge of the world outside your own neighborhood.

You don't really think that those pictures on TV showing a bunch of 25 year old kids dancing in the streets, shaking their fists and burning the American flag are just a spontaneous gathering of regular citizens, do you?

Don't believe everything you hear and see on TV - especially info from the current administration in Washington. Do a little reading and not just Superman comics. Watch real news programs - not just Fox.

There were 19 people who took down the WTC... The "terrorists" and al-Queda make up a very, very small percentage of the Islamic world. Don't paint everyone with the same brush.

Mexicans ***** that Arizona's immigration regulation is too demanding on illegals. yet Mexico's immigration regulation is a thoughts worse. unlawful immigration into Mexico is a criminal punishable through over a 12 months in detention center. In Mexico, unlawful immigrants haven't any rights. Nor do those that help them. it really is time for the USA to copy Mexico's immigration regulation.

They should have done that along time ago.
If you read 'TripleCross' or see it's free timeline it shows that theFBI had full knowledge of the terrorists coming in/out of US. Nothing was done and in fact a trainer of terrorists was also inFBI AliMohammud.
Or check out: The Muslim Brotherhood-the PROJECT. This is going on NOW in US.
One more thing. The NAU is establishing new 'parameters' for all formerly US citizens.

The vast majority of people entering this country to stay are good people. They want to make a good life for themselves and their families. The radicals tend to want to stay in their own countries where they can get power by exploiting people's general unhappiness and channeling it into hatred. Most immigrants are intelligent and skilled (you usually have to have some kind of skill to be allowed to enter), which means they are helping our economy. China and Iraq have experienced a terrible "brain drain" as their brightest people left to pursue opportunities elsewhere. Many people leave their countries because they don't like the radicalism there, and would prefer to live in a free country like ours. I know people from Pakistan, Iran, and China who love it here and are wonderful Americans. So I would answer "no" to your question.

Well, that should bring immigration almost to a standstill... there are lots and lots of anti war and anti American people out there.. altho, i think it is mostly antil Bush.. once we have seen the last of him.. our countries reputation will be good again.. I hope.

If you we're to (I'm Irish) how exactly would that help change the majority to be pro american? It would do nothing to help relations with the country.

You mean like the zionists of israel? Everyone of these reformed jews with dual US/israeli citizenship should be deported immediately with no possibility of appeal. In fact any reformed or otherwise jew that has supported any militant jew organization should be placed under lock and key until we know everything he or she knows!

That would be rather hypocritical. Shouldn't we wait until the majority of Americans are pro-American before considering such a policy?

I think we should allow MORE people from countries that are anti-America, then we can parade them in front of cameras and say, "See, you say you hate America but here are your countrymen coming here to live. Ha ha!"
