Who are they kidding? He and Yankee fans say they can turn it around and they expect more from the team. They have no pitching ffs!!! Things are not gonna turn around this time. In seasons past it was slumping batters that got them into a funk, this time its all about the pitching which will not just suddenly turn around. They are all delusional and its very fun to watch.

I agree totally. Even when all their rotation is back and off the disabled list, they have a weak rotation. The Red Sox leave their pitching staff in the dust. However, this will not be the first time Steinbrenner has been delusional.

Chow!!

OK, once again we have a Yankee Hater bashing forum, congratulations. If I could go back and dig up these sort of posts from last year ad the year before that, you will see a trend. A number of those who feel the pitching is aged, banged up, or just down right no good. Very well, I will give you your time to gloat and enjoy what seems to be a rough start for the boys in the Bronx.
Inuries and batting/ pitching slumps are the things that happen over the course of a 162 game season. Know your history....I can tell you that they always get out to a slow start, just a characteristic of Yankee teams over the last five years. They usually have some pitching woes and the last two years found guys that sparked them through the second half of the season (Wang, Small, etc.) But when August, September come around........they are talked about as a World Series contender. Make no mistake, I could be wrong. They could go right down and never recover. But it is more likely that they will recover and eventually go on to win another division and make the playoffs.

Now to Steinbrenner.....this man has nothing to prove. Considered one of the best owners in professional sports. An owner behind a championship team and a marketing giant. If you could fill his shoes.......wait you couldn't.

Those of you who question the intelligence and the optimism of the fan base is irresponsible and downright delusional on your part. May they go on to win their 27th World Series title.

Joe Torre is most definitely not being fired or pushed out of ny in any sense whatsoever. The rumors will continue to go on and on but in the end theyre all jsut rumors. The same rumors were going around during the 1996 season when the yankees were doing very poorly and everyone was saying that Joe Torre will get fired. In the end, Joe Torre led the yankees to a world series victory, one of the most memorable yankees victories in history. The problems occuring now are not that of Joe Torre, they are problems with injuries on the pitching staff. Once the yanks get good pitching they will succeed in making the playoffs in the long run as they have in the past.

Their pitching stinks. Steinbrenner is getting old and senile. And Joe Torre really looks like he's had enough of doing this, even though he says otherwise.

I dont think the Yankees will make the playoffs and I said that before the season even started.

I think would direct that question to Wayne Cashman. The Yankee pitching staff has been growing old right before our eyes. Hell, if we, the average fan can see it, why couldn't Cashman. The Yankees still have the most powerful lineup in all of baseball. That should keep them a float until they can plug the holes in the pitching staff. Of course they better do it pretty quick!!
