No, it isn't It is a kind of summary of North-central US economic geography, and doesn't seem to be intended as a history, although the word is used many times in the presentation. Here is one better website for the history of farming:

eh, its okay like the part where it talks about how the plains thing was the most farming dependant in the U.S like that u might be able to use but the rest of the is kind of boring and not important so....try this..............http://www.historylink101.com/lessons/farm-city/story-of-farming.htm this talks about some story on farming :D
