Yes, I've tried it, but the mantra would not allow me to actually accomplish anything.
In retrospect, perhaps I should not have been using Wagner's "Ride of the Valkeries" as my mantra. . .

It is obvious that you and some respondent have no clue about Freemasonry. Freemasonry is a social fraternity that studies morality through ritual, symbol and allegory; it provides more charity than any other group on the planet. There is no worship in freemasonry because it is not a religion, there are Christian, Jewish, Muslim, etc freemasons. There is no occult practice in freemasonry. Freemasonry has no gods, it is not a religion. Freemasonry is not working toward a new world order and has never said they will bring the worship of all gods together... you are mistaken on every point you try to make about freemasonry. there are millions of real Christians who are freemasons, including Catholics; including Catholic Priests, Bishops and Cardinals, even 2 Popes have been freemasons. There also is no 'ceremony of TM' in freemasonry - where did you get that load of garbage from? Good answer Milthistagent

I have meditated before. Not sure if it was the actual Transcendental thing but as far as it working to relax me and helping me to clear my head, YES, it works. I actually felt so relaxed like I had had a massage. My body felt lighter and my head was clear. I recommend it!

I've meditated, but not using the TM method. I've had a lot of success with meditation and yoga. Ohmmmmm
