The Royal Life Partner

The other guy would be the king's life partner and that does not necessarily mean the end of the royal line. The king may have a child or children with another woman just to carry on his blood line.... Yes you can have children with a woman if you are gay - there is artificial insemination.... The wonders of science will be before him.

Nothing actually. There were alot of kings during the old monarchies who participated in homosexual acts and had same sex lovers but still they had a commitment to their people to marry a queen and try and bring peace through marriage. Dont forget the age of monarchies was also where alot of venerial diseases had come from but they had no clue then what it was and sex was still very free and uninhibited

The king would not be permitted to marry a man. He could have a lover, a catamite, with whom he indulges himself. But in a monarchy, the king is obligated to produce an heir, which requires a woman.

Be one hell of a coronation and wedding - you can bet that. But think about this - if you are the "king" you can technically do what ever the hell you want. That is why I am "emperor" of my own domain. Now where do I find someone to build my moat?
