It's a can...serving size is one can because it's difficult to close it once it's been opened. Thus, you're expected to consume the whole thing at one go.

Smaller servings. These companies decide what constitutes a serving, so if you want a bigger serving, you get the bigger can. If the smaller cans came first, the larger ones would be two servings, but we live in a twelve ounce world.

Just look at energy drinks......higher in calories and sugar, and the servings are generally about 8 ounces each, yet the cans keep getting bigger and bigger.

If you look on the side of a 16oz can it usually says "2.5 servings" per can so the smaller can is more accurately one serving.

because that is the size of the particular serving. and maybe they don't think we're smart enough to multiply or divide calories to calculate it on our own.
