How long did it take your current employer to call you for an interview after you submitted your resume?

They called me a few days later and hired me almost right after the interview. They usually call, I think email is a little to informal.

about 15 minutes after I faxed in my resume to HR I got a call to see when I would come in to interview. I was called not emailed . .

Often within 3-5 days (depending on how large a company / how many resumes they get!)

i have never been emailed about a prospective job. the job i have now i think contacted me within a week of submitting my application and i started two weeks after my interview.

It depends, mine contacted me within 5 days, but 2 weeks is the normal waiting period, if 2 weeks passes and there is no response, try to contact the recruiter, if there is no contact information, start looking for something else

I recently asked the same question - it must vary a lot but I know in my last job it was relatively quick like a few days only.

if you are speaking about an online resume it could take months! otherwise they should call you. if its been over a week you could call them and just ask if they have had a chance to reveiw your resume and thank them for their time!

In my experience they only contact you back IF they are interested in hiring you only once have I received contact (via emil) which let me know I was unsuccesful

they called me automatically, but when i hired the person that replaced me ( becuase of my promotion ) we took a week to call her back
