Without testdriving every car on the market that is under $20,000 who can state with complete honesty as to which is the best car under 20K. I drive a 2005 Mazda 3S hatchback. It is a ministationwagon that gets 26mpg w/regular gas and handles better than any car I have ever driven in 51 years of driving.

Honda Civic and VW are also good choices. American cars are crap.

The new VW Rabbit...unlike the Jetta, and Beetle...it's Made in Germany(and the reviews for this model have been VERY positive)
