I was in a bad car accident a while back. The grossest things that sticks in my mind was looking down at my side and seeing the bottom of my own shoe facing upward, instead of downward as it should have been! (That's how badly my leg was broken.) Then looking at my left wrist and noticing that there was this strange formation that looked like a couple of steps where the straight flat part of my wrist used to be (The impact caused the bones in my wrist to shatter and push back into my arm about 6 inches.)

But I'm OK now!

A truck turned over on it's side and when I drove past it(traffic was slow of course) I saw the guys head hanging, half way gone and he was stick out of the windshield. Also when I worked at a vets office they were short handed and I had to help them spay a cat.
I'm putting this on in for my husband, he used to do apartment maintenance and one of the tenants killed himself and he had to clean up after the police came and removed the body, blood was everywhere and the guy was sitting there for 3 days.
I'm gonna have horrid dreams cause of these answers. But they are all good answers.

I used to work the nightshift at a fastfood restaurant, and unfortunatly it was in a pretty bad part of town. We were closing up, and it was my turn to clean the bathrooms. I went in, and I saw this smelly passed out crackhead that had somehow crapped her pants. And the worst part is, after the ambulance and police left... I HAD TO CLEAN UP THE MESS! Needless to say I quit shortly after. It was a bad job, and it paid almost nothing anyways.

I saw a girl shooting heroine in a public restroom in Switzerland. She was laying in the corner and her dealer hid from us. Blood was squirting out of her arm.

Faces of Death...the segment where the ministers of an african
country are first judged at a tribunal...paraded through the streets...then taken to a beach and tied to poles, bags placed over their heads...and summarily shot by 'firing squad.
Something about the demeanor of the man on the extreme right stopped the breath in my chest...then I heard the accent of some of the people who came to watch the execution...and I looked back at that first figure...and I knew he was the minister of foreign affairs for a west african country where I had grown up. One of my best friends fro that time and place...our families close to the point where I used to spend weekends at his house...and he at mine. I remember one weekend at his house where we used to perform pieces of plays we had learned in school...and stuff we had come up with ourselves...the years we had spent as school chums and good friends...his father up there...about to be executed...and I looked to the left of the man tied to the pole...and recognized
another minister...and another...and another...men with children...families...knowing them all now...thinking of their children...the ones I went to school with...parties at Reflections with...swimming at Cooper's beach...some of us who went to Methodist Elementary school...and on to ACS.
Then it hit me what I was watching...the true nature of what I was watching..and I have no further memory of the VHS tape...or what I did the remainder of the day.... still feel branded by what I saw that day...which is really trivial when placed next to the suffering my friends went through after losing their country...fathers...cousins...
I never told anyone of those children/now men and women with families of their own...that I actually watched Faces of Death. That level of grief is a private thing...not up for discussion....ever. And I still feel as if I betrayed them in some way. By becoming voyeur to the unthinkable....bloody peeping Tom. And so it goes. Maybe...when my time has come and I stand before the god of my understanding...he will tell me...if I am worthy of their forgiveness.
