La Jolla would be more central to tourist attractions, but it would probably be more expensive too. :)

Depends what you are going to do in San Diego. They are about 15 miles apart. If you are doing business in the UTC La Jolla area then the Hyatt La Jolla is probably best. However, for most people the Hyatt Manchester, located in downtown San Diego, is the better choice. Close to the ball park, GasLamp Quarter, Seaport Village, the Harbor, the Airport, trolley system, etc.

I think you asked this already...neither is close to the beach, but Manchester is much closer to downtown, the Zoo, the bay, and other interesting places. Hyatt La Jolla is not near any attractions unless you consider UCSD an attraction. It's not really in the nice part of La Jolla near the beach....that part (we call it "The Village") is about a 20 minute drive away from Hyatt La Jolla.

If you want a nice hotel on the beach, try the Hilton Mission Bay:

It depends on where you are going to be.

The Hyatt Manchester is on San Diego Bay right next to the convention Center. So if you are going to be in the downtown area this will definatly be a lot more convienient. Also the views from this one are wonderful. This is also closer to the Airport.

The Hyatt La Jolla(not Joya) is also a nice one. If you are going to be in North San Diego this one will be better for you.

Service wise they are both high class so in that respect either one will be just about the same.
