I think it will be the Yankees because their pitching is going to kill them, even when their pitching is healthy it will not be that great and as soon as the bullpen comes in then it gets worse.
Wang is back and looks pretty bad, he is 0-2, when Pavano comes back he will continue to be as bad as he has the past few years and disappoint the Yankees, Mussina is up there and inconsistent. Plus remember that even when they take a lead late into a game then the bullpen keeps coming in and blowing it for them. Yankees will be bad this year and I am sure back next year.

In the end it comes down to pitching. Although the yankees are hurting now as the season heats up players like andy pettite, mike mussina, and mariano rivera will show up and be stars just like days of old. The d-rays have a mediocore pitching staff not counting james shields , kazmir, and at this point reyes. The d-rays would get by with a high powered offense like the mets or the yankees but the truth of the matter is they don't. There going to be in last but nexst year u can expect big things from the d-rays

As a die hard Red Sox fan, I would love to see the Yankees finish in last place. But I know they won't. At the end of the year they will probably fighting with Boston for first. Once the get all of their starting pitchers back they will be better. Remember 2 years ago the Yankees started off bad like this, but they ended up in 1st place at the end.

At the end of the season, it will be the Devil Rays. Once the Yankees get their starting rotation off the disabled list and back pitching, they will play 500 ball, but the Rays will be worse.

the yankees will come around, everyone in the world is overreacting to their start to the season...they have a strange tendency to start slowly, but they always end up in the playoffs

the yankmees never take last place, but they do lose to the tigers in the playoffs once in a while
